STAMPEDE 2 Trial
A large UK multi-arm platform trial sponsored by University College London in men with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer who are starting long-term hormone therapy. It tests whether adding stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR) or ¹⁷⁷Lu-PSMA-617 (PSMA-lutetium) to standard of care improves overall survival, compared with standard of care alone. Funded by Cancer Research UK, Novartis/ADACAP and Janssen.
LDR Burst Trial
LDR BURST (NCT07210502) — a UK trial run at Royal Surrey Cancer Centre comparing Low Dose Rate (LDR) brachytherapy with stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT/SABR) in men with low- to intermediate-risk prostate cancer, with both arms using rectal spacer gel (Barrigel™) to protect surrounding tissue. The trial aims to see which approach delivers better quality of life and fewer side effects. Supported by The Prostate Project, The Urology Foundation and Royal Surrey Cancer Centre.

PSMAfore (NCT04689828) - a Phase 3 international trial comparing ¹⁷⁷Lu-PSMA-617 (Pluvicto) with a change of androgen receptor–directed therapy (abiraterone or enzalutamide) in men with PSMA-positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer who have progressed on one prior ARDT and have not had chemotherapy. Sponsor: Novartis.
